An educational counseling center offering Group Therapy, Individual Counseling, and Classes, and multiple-day Workshops for adult survivors of childhood physical, emotional, and/or sexual abuse. We are a community based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and are dedicated to providing a safe place for individuals and families impacted by abuse to pursue wholeness and healing.
Healing for Survivors is founded by Jan Kister, Pastoral Counselor, and is located in Fresno California.
Experience and research shows that abuse occurs in a cycle and will continue over multiple generations unless steps are taken to resolve and heal from the trauma surrounding the abuse.
Just as abuse is passed down from one generation to the next, HFS believes that healing can also be passed on through the generations. Our vision is that those who walk through the doors of Healing for Survivors leave with the tools, knowledge, and strength to transform their painful experiences and create a legacy of healing for themselves, their family, and those they touch, Breaking the Cycle of abuse in their own lives and for future generations.
